Department: Human Resources Classification: GMU Worker Job Category: Part-Time / Hourly Wage Job Type: Part-Time Work Schedule: 20 hours/week; depending upon projects this may extend to 25 hours/week Location: Fairfax, VA Workplace Type: Hybrid Eligible Sponsorship Eligibility: Not eligible for visa sponsorship Hourly Rate: $20.00/hour Criminal Background Check: Yes About the Position: George Mason University’s Human Resources office is looking for a passionate andenthusiastic individual to serve as a part-timeHuman Resources Assistant.This role will support executive scheduling and support initiatives across the Talent Development Center of Excellence (CoE), including workplace coaching, faculty and staff engagement, and organizational development and learning. Responsibilities: Executive scheduling for multiple busy calendars, and managing priorities ina timelyand professional manner; Provide administrative support to theAssistant Vice President and Chief Learning Officer, including day-to-day managementof multipletalent development projects; Create andmaintaina coaching dashboard, including managing the evaluation process for coaching services and providing administrative support to the Coaching Manager as needed; Utilize a Learning Management System (LMS) to post trainings, manage registrations, runattendance reports, and update learning communities; Provide technical support for virtualmeetings, including moderating Zoom meetings; and Perform other related duties as assigned. Required Qualifications: Demonstrated experience with data management; Demonstrated attention to detail. Effective interpersonal communication and customer service skills, including tact and diplomacy; Ability to prioritize competing deadlines, follow through, and be flexible; Ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism; Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision; and Ability to collaborate with diverse individuals with differing needs at all levels of the organization. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a Human Resources setting; Higher education or public workforce experience; Demonstrated experience managing executive schedules in MS Outlook; Experience with Project Management tools or methodologies; and Qualtrics and/or learning management systems experience highly preferred.
