Computer Numerical Control Machinist

~ Set up and operate CNC lathes to produce precision components according to engineering drawings and specifications. ~ Load and unload raw materials and finished components. ~ Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, GD&T, and work instructions. ~ Perform machine setups, including tooling, fixtures, offsets, and workholding. ~ Make necessary tool offsets and program adjustments to maintain part dimensions. ~ Select and install appropriate cutting tools, inserts, drills, boring bars, and other tooling. ~ Inspect completed parts using precision measuring equipment ~ Perform first-piece and in-process inspections to ensure parts meet specifications. ~ Identify and troubleshoot machining, tooling, dimensional, and equipment issues. ~ Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to optimize cycle times, tool life, and part quality. ~ Perform routine machine maintenance and keep equipment and work areas clean and organized. ~ Maintain accurate production and inspection records. ~ Follow all safety procedures and company quality standards. ~ Work closely with engineering, quality, and production teams to resolve manufacturing issues. ~ Assist with continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, productivity, scrap reduction, and process efficiency. Qualifications: ~2+ years of experience as a CNC Lathe Machinist or similar machining role. ~ Strong understanding of CNC turning and lathe operations. ~ Ability to independently set up and operate CNC lathes. ~ Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T. ~ Experience using precision measuring tools and inspection equipment.
