Collibra System Administrator

The Collibra System Administrator will serve as the technical anchor for the Data Governance platform, ensuring its operational health, stability, and connectivity. This role focuses on troubleshooting day-to-day technical issues, managing back-end configurations, and ensuring seamless data connectivity. The administrator will be responsible for the Collibra platform, including Collibra Protect, and will be the primary expert for building and maintaining JDBC connections for the Data Catalog.

Key responsibilities include:

• Serving as the primary point of contact for day-to-day technical issues within the Collibra platform, including user access, workflow failures, and job execution errors.
• Analyzing system logs and utilizing monitoring tools to proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks or stability issues.
• Managing and administering Collibra Protect, ensuring fine-grained data access controls are correctly configured and operating as intended.
• Building, configuring, and maintaining JDBC driver connections to enable diverse data sources to integrate with the Collibra Data Catalog.
• Managing technical configurations for Collibra Edge sites to ensure successful metadata ingestion and profiling.
• Collaborating with data owners to troubleshoot connectivity issues between source systems and Collibra.
• Acting as the primary technical liaison with Collibra vendor support to drive issues to resolution.
• Coordinating with internal DevOps and Infrastructure teams for platform upgrades, patches, and maintenance.
• Planning and coordinating technical implementations of new features, hotfixes, and major version upgrades.
• Maintaining technical documentation for system architecture, configurations, and standard operating procedures.

Required qualifications include:

• 5+ years of experience in Enterprise System Administration, Application Support, or Technical Operations.
• 3+ years of experience working as a Collibra system administrator.
• Proven experience troubleshooting complex, multi-tiered enterprise software applications.
• Experience coordinating with software vendors for advanced support and ticket resolution.

Technical skills include:

• Experience configuring JDBC/ODBC drivers and understanding of database connectivity protocols.

Preferred qualifications include:

• Hands-on administration experience with Collibra Data Intelligence Cloud (DGC, Catalog, Protect).
• Experience with Collibra Jobserver/Edge installation and log analysis.
• Working knowledge of Linux/Windows server environments for basic troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with REST APIs for basic automation or integration testing.
• Knowledge of SQL for querying backend databases or validating data connections.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience.
• Experience working in a healthcare environment or with highly regulated data (HIPAA, PII/PHI) is a plus.

Compensation & benefits:

The pay rate for this position is between $60.00 and $70.00 per hour.
