RHTP Workforce Data Analyst

Location: Rhode Island
Job Type: Contract

Job Summary

Seeking a Workforce Data Analyst to support Rhode Island’s federally funded Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP) . This role will collect, manage, analyze, visualize, and report workforce data across healthcare, education, training, and workforce initiatives. The analyst will turn data into actionable insights to support program implementation, evaluation, grant reporting, and workforce strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain data collection, tracking, reporting, and visualization systems .
• Collect, organize, validate, analyze, and integrate data across workforce projects.
• Develop and maintain data definitions, performance measures, reporting standards, and data-quality processes .
• Prepare dashboards, reports, presentations, and data visualizations .
• Analyze trends and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
• Support federal grant reporting, performance monitoring, and program evaluation .
• Research and incorporate healthcare, workforce, education, demographic, geographic, and labor-market data.
• Collaborate with program staff, grantees, vendors, healthcare providers, educational institutions, and other partners.
• Support identification and qualification of rural and rural-serving healthcare providers .
• Maintain accurate documentation and protect confidential program and participant information.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Public Health, Health Informatics, Public Policy, Public Administration, Information Systems , or a related field.
• Experience with data collection, analysis, reporting, research, performance measurement, or program evaluation .
• Strong skills in Excel/spreadsheets, databases, data visualization, and analytical tools .
• Ability to identify trends, ensure data quality, and communicate findings clearly.
• Strong analytical, research, writing, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
• Familiarity with Rhode Island data systems, healthcare, workforce, education, or public-sector programs is a plus.
