Position Summary:

Universal Banker 2 is responsible for opening new accounts, providing exceptional customer service, and handling customer needs from service to sales with enthusiasm. Understands and is proficient in performing all Universal Banker I duties.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Provides excellent customer service by processing customer transactions, answers customer inquiries in person, via telephone, or email.
2. Operates lobby teller window; maintains acceptable outages; maintains appropriate cash limits; follows policies and procedures to ensure compliance with branch audits.
3. Cross promotes bank products and services by using insights gained about the customers needs; follows up on referral opportunities.
4. Assists in performing back-office duties which included completing branch reports, balancing the ATMs, processing night/mail deposits, answering phone calls, filing, and maintains a clean workstation.
5. Maintains IRA files; filing annual reports and tax information; preparing corrected 1099-INT forms and IRA forms for the IRS.
6. Monitors rate changes, mails proper notices to customers regarding various accounts (CD renewal and maturity checks, etc.) to customers in a timely manner.
7. Prepare, monitor and address report of dormant accounts and safety deposit boxes.
8. Educates customers on product benefits and solutions; makes recommendations based on their identified needs.
9. Opens and closes the branch in a secure manner according to bank procedures.
10. Opens and closes deposit accounts and services with accuracy and in accordance with bank policies and applicable regulations.
11. Processes payoffs and payments for all loan products.
12. Performs all required security procedures for opening customer accounts.
13. Represents the bank in a professional manner.
14. Attends community activities in order to increase brand awareness.
15. Assists the drive thru with various duties and acts as a backup for Universal Banker III as needed.
16. As needed, escalates customer and service issues to Universal Banker III.
17. May float to other bank branches as needed.
18. Complies with all applicable banking laws and regulations, including, but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act, USA Patriot Act, and related anti-money laundering statutes, and federal consumer protection legislation and regulations.
19. Other Duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills:

1. At least 1 year of banking experience required,
2. Customer service experience required.
3. Notary preferred
4. Drivers License Required

Physical Environment:

• This position is performed in an office setting, including some Saturdays. Hours per week will typically be 20-25, but can go up to 32, with usual hours being 10:00 AM - 2:00 or 3:00 PM during branch hours.
• May need to float to the other FMB branches on occasion.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to lift, walk, stand, sit, bend, reach with hands and arms, climb, push/pull, use hands, and see, hear and speak.
• The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
