This position reports to Materials Planning Supervisor and will work in Port St Lucie, FL.About the positionAs a Materials Handler of the Port St Lucie team, you will be involved in receiving incoming goods, unloading trucks, picking parts for Job Orders using a bill of material and complete all stages of the order fulfillment process in the Finished Goods area. They will support management of parts inventory and finished goods inventory, as well as the logistics and customer service functions within the department.Your main responsibilitiesVerifies all incoming shipments to packlists and company purchase orders and put awayInvestigation of inventory count discrepancies and sorting or restocking as requiredPick parts for production Job Orders based on a bill of materials (BOM) with timing and accuracyDuties must be performed timely and accurately, in a safe manner that achieves department productivity, quality and cost targets, while maintaining good housekeeping using the principles of Lean Manufacturing 5S principles.Communicate clearly with customers verbally (over the phone) and in written communication (email)Replenish and maintain inventory, cleaning and straightening fulfillment center area, andPerform daily cycle counts and physical inventory annuallyAudit, investigate and record inventory discrepanciesResponsible for the completeness and correctness of all orders filled and shippedMeet department KPI standards (productivity, quality, cost and pick time)Meet or exceed company standards for productivity and efficiencyInitiate action to prevent the occurrence of product, process or quality system nonconformanceIdentify and record any problems relating to the product, process or quality systemsConduct operations in a manner that promotes safetyComply with OSHA and MSDS StandardsStrive to develop and implement continuous improvement into all product, process or quality systemMaintain a clean, neat and orderly work area using the principles of 5SOperate a forkliftOther duties as assignedWhat do we offer?You are offered an interesting role in a dynamic, fast-paced and global environment with great opportunities to grow, evolve with the company and take on new challenges.Medical/Dental/Vision InsuranceEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Disability insurance (STD/LTD)401 (k) with company matchPTOCompany defined holidays and two floating holidays for you to use as you choosePaid maternity/paternity leaveTuition assistanceMembership reimbursement (wholesale club and gym)Employee discounts on our incredible productsOpportunities to make an impactSkills & requirementsA suitable background would be a solid experience within manufacturing and inventory as well as the following qualifications and experiences:High school diploma or general education degree (GED) requiredPrior warehouse experience in manufacturing environment preferredWorking knowledge of bill of materialsMust be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing – possess good typing, spelling and grammar skillsAbility to perform basic math skills and measurementsStrong computer, analytical, problem solving, and communication skillsMS Office Outlook and Excel experience requiredExperience ERP/MRP system needed, Intuitive ERP/MRP system a plusExperience in completing daily inventory cycle countsProven ability to use scales to weigh countExperience operating a forklift, hand jacks preferredExperience with principles of 5S a plusMust be able to stand and walk about the site facility throughout scheduled shiftAbility to lift heavy items up to 40 pounds routinely, 50 – 75 pounds with assistance, stand/walk for long periods of time and perform repetitive motionsAbility to work full-time (40 hours per week) and overtime as neededMust be able to read and write EnglishMust be reliable and on time to work each dayWill assist in picking product from the finished goods stockroom location for shipmentMay be asked to assit in verifying staged finished goods to pick lists, prepare and prioritize products for shipment, communication of shortages to appropriate personnel is requiredTo be successful in this role, we believe that you possess the following skills, competencies & characteristics:Strong written and verbal communication skillsExemplary standards of ethics, integrity, and accountabilityHighly detail oriented with strong organizational skills and time managementMust have the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlinesSense of urgency and self-motivationAble to work independently and in team environmentsMust be able to solve complex problems and be resourcefulDometic's core valuesTo thrive and succeed in this role, you understand the importance of our core values – Together We Build Our Future, We Play To Win, We Embrace Change and We Walk The Talk; these values reflect the heart and soul of Dometic and they define what it takes to work here and how we do things.Are you our next star?
