AWS Cloud Administrator

We are seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Administrator to join our client's team in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of IT experience, with a deep understanding of various IT domains, including Architecture, Infrastructure setup, management, Operating Systems, Databases, and Cloud implementations. Additionally, the candidate must have a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with AWS Cloud Administration, with a strong focus on delivering comprehensive AWS cloud infrastructure solutions. The role requires a solid grasp of cloud infrastructure components and proficiency in managing AWS resources, such as EC2, S3, RDS, and VPC. The AWS Cloud Administrator will also be responsible for managing both Windows and RHEL servers, ensuring system performance, and implementing security measures.
Responsibilities:- Install, configure, administrate, manage, and support AWS resources including EC2, S3, RDS, and VPC.
- Perform installation, configuration, and management of Windows and RHEL servers.
- Apply patches, updates, and security configurations to both Windows and RHEL systems.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues on both Windows and RHEL servers.
- Plan and execute in-place upgrades of Windows and RHEL operating systems.
- Ensure application and service compatibility with new OS versions.
- Conduct pre-upgrade assessments, including backups and system health checks.
- Address and resolve issues during or after the OS upgrade process.
- Monitor system performance and health using AWS CloudWatch and other tools.
- Optimize AWS infrastructure and OS environments for cost and performance efficiency.
- Maintain and apply security patches and configurations for Windows and RHEL systems.
- Take ownership of issues, resolving them promptly and within service levels.
- Work independently and collaboratively within an integrated team environment.
- Exhibit strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a proactive and self-motivated attitude.
