Practice Manager III- General Surgery

Job Summary Responsible for the management of up to three providers. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field Required or Associate's Degree and 4 years experience in an office practice environment at a supervisory level Required Work Experience 1 or more years working in a medical practice environment with at least one year's experience at a supervisory level. Required 1 or more years of insurance and reimbursement, CPT codes, ICD codes, and Medicare/ Medicaid compliance procedures. Preferred Licenses and Certifications Essential Functions Demonstrate the ability to function in an administrative role. Develop and manage departmental budget. Seek ways to increase revenue while decreasing expenses. Demonstrate the ability to communicate financial data to physicians, director, and (or) senior staff. Demonstrate an overall understanding of financial data. Demonstrate the ability to oversee the day to day operations of department. Demonstrate the ability to hold department accountable for overall performance. COMMUNICATION: Demonstrate the ability to communicate in a professional manner. Demonstrate excellent customer service skills. Communicate effectively with patients, staff and physicians. Hold staff members accountable for communicating professionally. Act as a resource person within the department regarding communication skills.
