Quality Manager

OVERVIEW We are currently seeking a Quality Manager I for our DFW Terminal F project in Dallas, TX. The Quality Manager I is responsible for implementation, improvement, and execution of the Quality Management Systems (QMS) and project‑specific quality program requirements. RESPONSIBILITIES Serve as the quality champion for one or more projects, overseeing quality of work, material management, documentation, and close‑out. Coach, mentor, and train project staff in quality management principles, procedures, and project‑specific requirements. Lead and manage quality processes including work planning, pre‑activity meetings, material management, quality incident reports, lesson sharing, and follow‑up inspections. Establish, monitor, and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Quality Incident Reports (QIRs) to ensure continuous improvement. Analyze project KPIs, evaluate trends, and provide improvement strategies. Conduct routine audits of project quality programs using Project QC Evaluation and other auditing tools. Provide feedback to Operations and Quality Management regarding major QIRs, team relationships, owner/client perceptions, and recurring non‑conformances. Direct inspection, testing, and documentation of works; schedule inspections and tests with coordination between operations, consultants, material laboratories, and clients. Develop and implement project‑specific inspection and test plans, quality control plans, and other necessary procedures. Support material specification review such as concrete mix design, thermal control, and other quality‑specialized elements. Drive risk management strategies that improve profitability by reducing risk and enhancing process efficiency. Maintain relationships with owners, clients, subcontractors, design partners, and stakeholders to support project partnering and issue resolution. Support Site Safety to ensure project completion in accordance with safety procedures, requirements, and goals. Monitor project quality costs, including resources, while working to better align with as‑bid budgets. Provide feedback to optimize project billing returns, risk reporting, and testing accuracy, protecting the company from claim exposure. Track and report rework costs via the QIR system. QUALIFICATIONS AEC Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent related field experience. Experience with International Code Council, NICET, or similar certifications. Current USACE/NAVFAC/NRC Construction Quality Management certification preferred but not required. Industry certifications for testing and inspection as needed to satisfy project requirements. Limited travel for projects as necessary. Level 1 QCM with minimum 7 years of AEC experience; 3 years preferred in a quality role. Excellent communication, critical thinking, and problem‑solving skills with the ability to prioritize, organize, and manage time. Knowledge of standards, specifications, and relevant publications for the job duties.
