Phlebotomist

Summary:
We are seeking a full-time, 40-hour Phlebotomist to work onsite at 500 Merrimack Street in Lawrence, MA. The desired schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 4:30 pm. The role also requires one Saturday per month at our Haverhill location from 7:30 am to 11:30 am!
Our Phlebotomists play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our patients and are responsible for collecting and processing blood specimens from patients for laboratory testing.
Essential Functions:
-Obtains quality blood samples using a variety of phlebotomy methods for all age groups.
-Ensures accurate patient identification, quality specimen labeling, processing, handling, and transportation of
specimens.
-Communicates effectively with patients and patient care teams, explaining procedures and addressing patient concerns to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
-Handles sharps and biohazardous materials in accordance with regulatory requirements to ensure the safety of patients and staff.
-Works fluently with computer programs and systems, and complies with HIPAA regulations.
-Performs other test administration and specimen collection as assigned
-Performs other duties as assigned
-Complies with all policies and standards

Education

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required
• Completion of a phlebotomy course preferred
