Job Summary - Network Architect (CR262)
- Serve as primary technical lead responsible for delivering enterprise-level network solutions.
- Oversee planning, design, implementation, and operation of complex network infrastructure projects.
- Manage and execute network infrastructure projects, ensuring technical and communication objectives are met.
- Provide expertise in AWS Cloud, Azure Cloud, LAN, WAN, Wireless, Security, VoIP, Video, and Data Center environments.
- Ensure network security by reviewing designs, enforcing security policies, and assessing risks.
- Offer on-site and remote technical support and assistance to team members and clients.
- Build, document, and maintain new infrastructure environments according to industry best practices and security standards.
- Provide infrastructure design, implementation planning, troubleshooting, optimization, and maintenance strategies.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to internal engineering teams and lead technical staff as needed.
- Establish and enforce system configuration, installation, and standards for networking environments.
- Monitor and maximize network performance; troubleshoot problems, perform upgrades, and collaborate for optimization.
- Secure networks and servers by defining and monitoring access and establishing policies.
- Maintain and report network operational status and support 24/7 network operations.
- Participate in capacity planning, demand forecasting, and network tuning activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the timely delivery of solutions that achieve business objectives.
- Utilize advanced hands-on experience with Palo Alto firewalls, F5 LTM, GTM, WAF, AWS Cloud, and automation tools (Ansible, CloudFormation, Terraform).
- Apply deep expertise in network protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), Cisco technologies, Forcepoint, and network security methodologies.
- Employ scripting (Perl, UNIX shell, Python) and network monitoring tools for automation and management.
- Ensure adherence to best practices in data center and cloud environments.
- Maintain vendor/client relationships and manage third-party network service providers.
- Required: AWS Solutions Architect certification and CCNP; preferred: CCIE, AWS advanced certifications.
Note: Local Bay Area candidates preferred; travel may be required as per project needs.
