Cardiac OR – Circulator Registered Nurse (CVOR)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Days | 12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Weekends, holidays, charge, and on-call/callback per unit needs

Key Responsibilities

• Independently function as RN circulator for complex adult cardiac surgical cases
• Provide perioperative nursing care for procedures including CABGs, TAVIs, structural heart cases, minimally invasive procedures, and heart failure cases
• Support heart failure interventions including VADs, ECMO, artificial heart, and heart transplants
• Utilize a multidisciplinary approach to care for patients across a wide range of adult cardiac conditions
• Fulfill charge nurse and on-call/callback responsibilities as required by unit needs

Required Qualifications

• Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license — NY license required
• Minimum of two (2) years of RN experience
• Demonstrated ability to circulate in the operating room
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association (required)
• ACLS certification through the American Heart Association (required)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a Level 1 trauma operating room setting
• Experience with heart transplant procedures
