Position Overview

MinuteClinic is seeking experienced Family Nurse Practitioners (FNPs) for a float position supporting multiple clinics throughout the New Jersey area.

The Float FNP will provide evidence-based primary and family healthcare while collaborating with a dedicated clinical care team. The role includes patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment, chronic disease management, health counseling, and comprehensive care planning.

Float Clinic Locations

Providers may be assigned to:

• Marlboro

• Hazlet

• Clark

• Manalapan

• Brick

• East Brunswick

Flexibility to travel between assigned clinic locations is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based primary and family healthcare.

• Assess, diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic health conditions.

• Perform routine examinations, health screenings, and diagnostic testing.

• Develop and coordinate comprehensive patient care plans.

• Educate patients on healthy lifestyle choices and preventive care.

• Support behavioral health, wellness, and chronic condition management.

• Manage patient appointments and follow-up activities.

• Verify insurance and collect payments.

• Assist with clinic opening/closing, inventory, and maintaining a clean environment.

• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.

• Practice autonomously while working effectively within a clinical care team.

• Apply quality measurement principles in chronic disease management.

✅ Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of recent Primary Care experience as a Nurse Practitioner in:

  • Family medicine

  • Primary care

  • Urgent care

• Master's degree from a Family Nurse Practitioner program .

• Current national board certification.

• Current NP license in the state of employment.

• NP license must be in good standing with no current or prior disciplinary actions .

• Strong clinical judgment, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to practice autonomously and work without direct supervision.

• Proficiency with electronic medical systems and healthcare technology.

• Willingness and ability to travel between assigned float clinics.

• Willingness to obtain additional/multi-state licensure as needed.

Required Documentation

• BLS certification required from American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) .

• Candidates must provide documentation/screenshots of their BLS certification and NP license .

• DEA registration may be required during onboarding.

• 30–35 hours per week

• Monday–Friday: 8:30 AM–7:30 PM

• Saturday: 9:00 AM–5:30 PM

• Sunday: 9:00 AM–4:30 PM

• Every other weekend required

• Possible holiday rotations may apply.

Work Environment

This is an in-person, patient-facing position. MinuteClinic Nurse Practitioners work alongside a dedicated clinical care team to provide comprehensive care to a panel of patients.
