The Grand Rehabilitation and Nursing at River Valley - Registered Nurse Unit Manager (Day Shift) Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse Unit Manager to join our team at The Grand Rehabilitation and Nursing at River Valley in Poughkeepsie, New York. As a Unit Manager, you will play a vital role in overseeing the daily operations of our skilled nursing unit, providing exceptional care to our residents, and fostering a positive and supportive work environment for our nursing staff. Responsibilities Oversee the daily operations of our skilled nursing unit, ensuring high-quality patient care and maintaining regulatory compliance Coordinate and manage the care of a diverse group of residents, including those with complex medical conditions and psychosocial needs Provide guidance and support to our nursing staff, including orientation, training, and performance evaluations Collaborate with other departments, such as therapy and social services, to ensure a comprehensive approach to patient care Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve patient outcomes and staff satisfaction Participate in quality improvement initiatives and performance improvement projects Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and reports, including incident reports, medication administration records, and unit statistics Requirements Current New York State RN licensure Minimum 2+ years of experience as a Registered Nurse, with 1+ year of experience in a Unit Manager or similar leadership role Strong clinical knowledge and skills, with ability to assess and prioritize patient needs Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with residents, families, and staff Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with demonstrated flexibility and adaptability Please note: Salary and benefits will be discussed during the interview process.
