Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg night shift position on a Dedicated Education Unit at a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center, requiring at least 2 years of experience in a large or high-volume hospital setting.

Details

• 30-bed Dedicated Education Unit (DEU) — travel nurses are assigned to patient care, not teaching responsibilities
• Mixed Med/Surg patient population
• Patient ratio of 5–6:1
• 12-hour night shifts, 3 shifts per week
• 4 weekend shifts required per month
• Block scheduling is generally not approved
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active RN license — Georgia (GA) or Compact license required
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Experience in a Level 1 trauma center or mid-to-large, high-volume hospital required
• Proven ability to manage critical, fast-paced, high-acuity patient situations
• Candidates with experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals will not be considered
