OmniSeq by Labcorp is looking for a Clinical Lab Associate to join our team in Buffalo, NY. Job Responsibilities Receives and accessions laboratory testing material within various laboratory information management system(s) utilizing appropriate blood/body fluid precautions Stores laboratory samples maintaining the integrity of the physical/electronic inventory Answers telephones, routes callers, takes messages Obtains required release of information signatures from patients to obtain laboratory materials when required Packages laboratory material for delivery to referral testing laboratories in accordance with regulatory and HIPAA requirements Packages diagnostic specimens for return in accordance with regulatory and HIPAA requirements Assists in ordering, receiving, storing, distributing, and controlling laboratory supply inventories Maintains files and stores relevant laboratory documentation in accordance with regulatory standards for required storage periods. Participates in laboratory quality assurance activities Enhances professional growth and development by participating in educational programs, reading current literature and participating in in-service meetings and workshops. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalency Preferred Qualifications Associates degree in a healthcare discipline 1 or more years of experience in a clinical/research setting Additional Job Standards Knowledge of medical/laboratory terminology Pay Range Pay Range: 21.00-25.00 Benefits Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan. Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
