YTH Director of Music

Job Details: Job Location: Scottsdale, AZ 85260, Position Type: Full Time, Travel Percentage: Some Travel Between Campuses Required, Summary Description: With dependence on Jesus Christ (John 15:5), all Team Members are expected to: Be a fully committed follower of Christ Live in accordance with the SBC Statement of Faith and Statement on Marriage and Sexuality Engage in ministry prayer and prayer with one another Serve together as One Team Attend Staff Lunch, Staff Formation, Spiritual Development, and other SBC training and team building As the YTH Director of Music, you are a vital part of the Team, responsible for carrying on the Vision, Mission and Values of SBC. In this role, you will report to the Central Pastor of Music and are responsible to help the congregations of SBC worship God with all their heart, mind, soul, and body, working alongside our SBC Music and YTH staff to help maintain a consistent experience inside the various venues. Your Essential Responsibilities: In this position, you will: YTH Music: In coordination with SBC Music and YTH staff, develop, cast, and implement a vision of corporate musical worship for Scottsdale Bible YTH ministries Directly supervise and develop the YTH Music Leaders at each campus Work closely with campus music leadership to help ensure the growth of each campus YTH Music Leader Coordinate and lead (or coordinate leadership) for all YTH camps Shea YTH Musical Worship: Provide primary worship leadership for Shea YTH Work alongside the Shea YTH staff to execute services effectively Act as program director for Shea YTH services to ensure excellence in programming Create the service flow for worship services (worship, message, creative expressions, baptisms, communion, etc.) in Planning Center Services Be responsible for integrating creative elements into worship services (art, design, media, video, etc.) Assemble multiple worship teams (bands, vocalists, etc.) by recruiting and developing volunteers Select and arrange music to meet the needs of students Collaborate with the Production team Perform administrative duties related to leading worship (upload charts, print service flows/charts, build or edit Ableton sets, schedule volunteers, etc.) to ensure a spiritually formative, cohesive, and excellent worship experience Create a ProPresenter playlist for worship songs and work with the Production team to integrate other media (announcement slides, videos, message slides, etc.) Communicate with student volunteers to encourage their involvement, provide details that clarify their responsibilities, and clearly outline their schedules Commit to developing volunteers who move through the PEO process – Participation, Engagement, and Ownership Maintain updated serving in ROCK Shepherding: Be committed to leading worship team volunteers toward spiritual health and integrity Pray for and maintain regular communication with music volunteers (e-mail, personal contact, phone calls, etc.) Partner with the YTH pastoral staff as a resource for any needs represented within the student ministry Continue to pursue personal holiness and study of Scripture to minister more effectively SBC Music: Be on platform for adult services no less than two Sundays a month Occasionally provide Sunday morning leadership for adult services at other campuses Participate in and provide worship leadership for all-church events (Easter, Christmas, Worship night, etc.) Occasionally lead worship for other ministries and events Participate in and provide leadership assistance for CREATE Participate in all necessary worship team meetings (service planning and review, ongoing training, etc.) Other Responsibilities (Non-Essential): Related duties or special projects as assigned Qualifications: Skills you need to succeed: Knowledge of: Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) Video editing software and ProPresenter Technical systems Demonstrated competency in: Interpersonal savvy Managing vision & purpose Conflict management Listening Relational skills, such as high value of people, aspires to serve others, foster a healthy and amiable spiritual environment, approachable and accessible, work collaboratively with others and in team environments, appreciation for own and other’s giftedness; possess a healthy sense of humor Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills Successfully managing others and being accountable for the work results of others Being a worship leader and musician in a contemporary environment, while having the ability to lean in other stylistic directions Ability to: Discern needs and respond accordingly Maintain a high degree of professionalism and accuracy Shift focus quickly from one project to another and multi-task Handle confidential information Be a change agent Be flexible Work in a multi-faceted environment with little supervision Forecast as well as attend to weekly details Lead from an authentic and relational approach Personal Qualifications: Committed to spiritual growth Relationally unified Servant-hearted Operates in grace and truth Integrity of work habits and results Personable in working with staff and volunteers Desire for individual and professional growth Positive, can do attitude; takes initiative Consistently strives for excellence Team Player Aspires to serve others with a servant’s heart Regular attender and SBC member, or willing to become a member #J-18808-Ljbffr Paycom
