Our client is a mid-sized, full-service general contracting firm headquartered in Beachwood, NJ, with a strong presence across New Jersey. The company has built a reputation for delivering high-quality commercial projects and is led by a seasoned leadership team averaging nearly 30 years of industry experience. The firm focuses on a balanced portfolio of ground-up and fit-out construction (50/50 split), with projects ranging from $250K to $20M across sectors such as retail, restaurants, QSR, hotels, and automotive services. With a robust pipeline of 25-30 active projects, the company offers stability, growth, and exposure to diverse project types while strategically assigning work to keep Project Managers close to home.
Job Description
- Project Management: Manage commercial construction projects from preconstruction through completion
- Schedule Management: Oversee budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and project execution
- Team Leadership: Coordinate with field staff, clients, architects, and internal leadership
- Safety Compliance: Conduct regular site visits across Central and South Jersey
- Quality Control: Ensure projects meet quality, safety, and timeline expectations
- Documentation: Handle contract administration, change orders, and project documentation

The Successful Applicant
- 2-5 years of experience in construction, preferably in commercial projects
- Exposure to both ground-up and interior fit-out projects is highly preferred
- Field/site experience is a strong plus
- Demonstrates strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- High level of drive, curiosity, and professionalism (especially for less experienced candidates)
