Warehouse Forklift Operator

Warehouse Location: Harrisonburg VA
Work Hours Available:
12 Hrs. Day Shift - 5:00 am - 5:00 pm *** Rotating Shift Work Every other Weekend ***
8 Hrs. Night Shift - Monday to Friday - 5:00 pm to 2:00 am
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Promote safe work environment through personal actions
- Load and unload trucks and containers using equipment provided in safe and efficient manner
- Check and count freight for accuracy and/or damage. Take inventory as needed
- Direct product to correct area in warehouse
- Clear work area of loose wood and plastic sweep area as needed
- Report faulty equipment damage to racks and other safety hazards to supervisor
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- Prefer 1 year of Forklift experience (specific standup or sit down) in a warehouse or manufacturing environment but not mandatory . Training will be provided.
- Familiarity with RFID
- Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Possession of a valid state drivers license
Preferred Skills:
- Strong teamwork skills
- Self-motivator
- Must be able to work overtime days and/or evenings and weekends
- Ability to read numbers and labels
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to pay close attention to details and meet deadlines
- Ability to safety lift up to 60 lbs. frequently
