Strong negotiation ability is one of the most important requirements for this position. We are not simply looking for someone who has assisted with Personal Injury cases. We need someone who is confident, persuasive, strategic, and highly effective in negotiations —someone who knows how to advocate for a position, respond to pushback, identify leverage, and continue working toward the strongest possible resolution. The ideal candidate has a legal background that allows them to understand the strengths and weaknesses of a case and then use that knowledge effectively during negotiations . You should be comfortable having difficult conversations, challenging an opposing position professionally, and communicating confidently with insurance adjusters, attorneys, and other parties. Key Responsibilities In this role, you will support the firm's Personal Injury caseload while taking an active role in negotiation and case resolution . Responsibilities include: Negotiate confidently and strategically with insurance adjusters and other parties Assist with settlement negotiations and advocate effectively for favorable case resolutions Review case facts, damages, medical records, bills, evidence, and other documentation to prepare for negotiations Identify case strengths, weaknesses, and information that may provide leverage during negotiations Respond professionally and effectively to low offers, objections, and pushback Communicate directly with insurance adjusters, attorneys, clients, medical providers, and other parties Draft strong demand letters, legal correspondence, and other case-related documents Support attorneys with U.S. Personal Injury cases from case development through resolution Assist with discovery and litigation matters as needed Track deadlines, follow up on outstanding matters, and maintain detailed case records Work independently while keeping attorneys and the legal team informed Who We're Looking For Required Attorney/lawyer in your home country Professional fluency in English and Spanish , both written and spoken Previous experience working with U.S. Personal Injury cases Demonstrated negotiation experience Strong understanding of Personal Injury case development and settlement Excellent verbal communication skills and the confidence to lead difficult conversations Strong written communication and legal drafting skills Ability to think strategically and quickly during negotiations Excellent attention to detail and organization Ability to work independently in a fast-paced remote environment Availability to work full-time during U.S. Pacific Time business hours Strongly Preferred U.S. Personal Injury litigation experience Direct experience negotiating settlements with insurance adjusters Experience responding to settlement offers and counteroffers Experience with discovery, pleadings, depositions, or other litigation matters Experience using U.S. legal case management software What Does a Strong Negotiator Look Like for This Role? We are looking for someone who knows that strong negotiation is not simply about being aggressive. You should know how to listen, analyze, persuade, challenge, and adapt . You should be able to explain why your position is supported by the facts of the case, recognize when an offer should be challenged, and remain composed and persuasive when the other party pushes back. You should be comfortable taking ownership of a negotiation rather than waiting for someone else to tell you exactly what to say next.
