About the Position

Job Title: MRI Technologist Profession: MRI Tech Specialty: Radiology Duration: 16 weeks Shift: Evenings Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: 2+ years License: ARRT Certifications: BLS, MRI Registry preferred Must-Have Skills/Experience: Excellent communication and patient care skills. Description: Perform specialized MRI procedures on patients, resulting in diagnostic images for interpretation by a radiologist. Provide the patient care essential to these procedures. Apply principles of MR safety. Successful completion of an accredited Radiography program is required. A.R.R.T. registration is required upon hire. Must obtain advanced A.R.R.T. registry in MRI within one year of hire. The facility offers compassionate medical and specialty care and provides all-private rooms. The role may involve working with all types of patients, including vented patients and anesthesia cases. Physical demands include pushing/pulling up to 46 lbs of force, carrying 25 lbs, gripping up to 50 lbs, and occasional climbing. Ensure safety and comfort for patients during MRI procedures. Maintain effective communication with patients about the procedures and prepare them adequately. Collaborate with the radiology team to ensure high-quality imaging results. Engage in continuous learning and adapt to new technologies within the MRI field.
