Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – ER
Location: Syracuse, NY
Job Type: Travel / Contract
Assignment Duration: 13 Weeks
Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for an Emergency Department (ER) assignment in Syracuse, NY . The CNA will provide patient-centered care while supporting nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure patients’ comfort, safety, and dignity.
Responsibilities- Assist nurses with basic patient care and activities of daily living (ADLs).
- Monitor and record patients’ vital signs and promptly report changes to nursing staff.
- Assist with patient transfers, positioning, and transportation within the Emergency Department.
- Collect and document patient information and specimens as directed.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient-care environment.
- Assist with stocking medical supplies and preparing treatment areas.
- Provide compassionate and respectful care to patients throughout the assignment.
- Follow facility policies, safety procedures, and infection-control standards.
- Active New York CNA certification .
- Previous Emergency Department/ER experience required.
- Ability to work night shifts and variable schedules.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate, patient-focused approach to care.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift, transfer, and assist patients as needed.
- Commitment to completing the full 13-week assignment .
