Job Title: Oncology Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Oncology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: AM 4 × 10 hr shifts Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of oncology nursing experience License: BCLS certification Certifications: ONS Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Provider Card (preferred but not needed) Certification in Oncology Nursing (OCN) (preferred but not needed) Must-Have: Ability to perform chemotherapy administration and intravenous line management (peripheral, PICC, and port) Experience with EPIC with Beacon EMR Ability to manage 3-4 patients, based on acuity, per shift Proficient at administering blood products, IVIG, chemotherapy, electrolytes, oral and IV immunotherapies Proficient in collaboration with providers and patient for best practice symptom management Description: BCLS certification is required. Two 8-hour shifts and two 12-hour shifts are included. Minimum 2 years of oncology nursing experience is required. Ability to perform chemotherapy administration and intravenous line management, including peripheral, PICC, and port management, is necessary. Experience with EPIC with Beacon EMR is essential. Ability to manage 3-4 patients, based on acuity, per shift is expected. Candidates must be proficient at administering blood products, IVIG, chemotherapy, electrolytes, and both oral and IV immunotherapies. Collaboration with providers and patients for best practice symptom management is a crucial aspect of the role. Experience in clinical research is preferred.
