Facilities Maintenance Technician We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician to provide routine and preventative maintenance throughout STAR'S facility locations which include day program and residential settings. Our work is guided by the values of inclusion, independence, dignity, and freedom of choice, and we are committed to building a community where every individual is valued, respected, and supported in reaching their full potential. A Day in the Life of the Facilities Maintenance TechnicianThe Facilities Maintenance Technician plays a vital role in ensuring STAR's facilities are safe, well-maintained, and fully operational. Working under the direction of the Director of Facilities and Maintenance, the technician performs preventive maintenance, routine inspections, repairs, and facility improvement projects across multiple agency locations.This position responds promptly to maintenance issues and facility emergencies, identifies and addresses potential safety concerns, and helps maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for the individuals we support and our employees.Key responsibilities include conducting routine inspections of building systems, fire extinguishers, emergency lighting, and other life safety equipment; completing general maintenance and repairs; and ensuring compliance with OSHA standards, DDS regulations, and other applicable health and safety requirements. The Facilities Maintenance Technician also assists with maintaining accurate inspection and maintenance records and supports the overall operation of STAR's facilities.Qualifications for the Job:High School Diploma or equivalentOne to three years of general building maintenance, facilities, construction, or related experience preferred.Working knowledge of basic carpentry, painting, plumbing and general building repairsAbility to lift up to 70 pounds and perform physical tasks, including bending, climbing ladders, kneeling, working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.Valid Drivers License with Acceptable driving recordExperience working in a nonprofit, healthcare, human services or residential setting a plus but not required.Schedule:40 hours a week Monday-Friday, with flexibility in scheduling based on operational needsOccasional early mornings, evenings or weekends may be required to respond to facility emergencies or complete projects with minimal disruption to agency operations.How to Apply:If you would like to be part of a caring and driven team.
