Responsibilities

Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) like bathing, dressing, and toileting.

Help with mobility, including turning, repositioning, and transferring patients to prevent skin breakdown, you may also feed patients who need assistance and monitor intake/output.

Take and record vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiration), observe and report changes in a patient's condition to nurses, you may also help with wound care under the direction of an RN.

Stock and maintain supplies in patient rooms, ensure the environment stays clean and safe.

Assist in transporting patients within the hospital.

Qualifications

1. High School Diploma or equivalent.

2. Current Certification in Patient Care required (M.A. / CNA / EMT / Paramedic / Patient Care Tech, etc.).

3. Current Dysrhythmia Interpretation Certificate upon hire and maintain current preferred.

4. Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current.

5. Six months previous experience as Monitor Technician, preferred.

6. Current Phlebotomy certification upon hire, preferred.

7. Current EKG certification upon hire, preferred.

8. Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.

9. Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician's office, preferred.
