FAMILY NURSE PRACTITIONER (FNP)

Southern Highlands Community Mental Health Center (SHCMHC) Location: Southern West Virginia- Mercer County Employment Type: Full-Time Make a Difference Every Day Southern Highlands Community Mental Health Center is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nurse Practitioner to join our interdisciplinary behavioral health team. In this role, you'll provide advanced clinical care to individuals receiving mental health and substance use disorder services while working in a collaborative, recovery-oriented environment. What You'll Do As a Nurse Practitioner, you will: Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and risk assessments Diagnose and treat mental health and substance use disorders within your scope of practice Prescribe, monitor, and manage psychiatric medications Provide Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT), when credentialed and authorized Develop and monitor individualized treatment plans Order and interpret laboratory tests and diagnostic studies as appropriate Collaborate with physicians, therapists, nurses, case managers, and other members of the treatment team Coordinate care with hospitals, primary care providers, pharmacies, and community partners Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) Participate in quality improvement initiatives and regulatory compliance activities Provide education to consumers and families regarding diagnoses, medications, and treatment options Support a person-centered, recovery-focused approach to care Qualifications Required Master's degree (or higher) from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program Current, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the applicable state National Nurse Practitioner certification (PMHNP, FNP, or other applicable certification) Excellent clinical assessment and diagnostic skills Strong communication and collaboration skills Ability to maintain accurate documentation and protect patient confidentiality Preferred Experience working in behavioral health, substance use disorder treatment, integrated care, or community mental health Experience providing Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) Familiarity with CCBHC and CARF standards #J-18808-Ljbffr Southern Highlands Community Mental Health Center
