Construction QA/QC Inspector
Main Office Location: Friendswood, TX 77546
Pay: $25-$34/hr
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30am-5:00pm
TruBlu HR Solutions is seeking a Construction QA/QC Inspector with at least 6 years of combined experience in construction management and construction quality control. This position is located in the Houston, TX area and will require working in the field at project sites, as well as reporting to the office when not out in the field.
Responsibilities:
- Perform and oversee quality control inspections on construction projects.
- Review and manage product submittals.
- Read and interpret contract documents, drawings, project specifications, and quality requirements.
- Verify testing of construction materials and confirm work meets project standards.
- Inspect construction work for compliance with project specifications and quality control requirements.
- Maintain accurate quality control documentation, inspection records, reports, and related project files.
- Coordinate quality control activities with project stakeholders, contractors, field teams, and management.
- Identify quality issues, communicate findings, and assist with corrective action follow-up.
- Support compliance throughout all phases of construction.
Requirements:
- At least 6 years of combined construction management and construction quality control experience.
- Experience with complex public works projects, including roadways, bridges, embankments, and drainage systems.
- Experience with construction quality management procedures, inspections, documentation, and compliance.
- Ability to read and interpret contract documents, construction drawings, project specifications, and related documentation.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage quality control activities independently.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Must be able to report to the office when not working in the field at the project site.
- Must be able to work Monday-Friday, 7:30am-5:00pm.
