Vet Assistant/CSR

My Pet’s Vet is hiring a Vet Assistant in the Wilderness Oak area of San Antonio, Texas (281 & Wilderness Oaks). Responsibilities Take great care of our patients. Restraint of patients during procedures. Cleaning kennels, exam rooms and treatment tables. Run and set up lab tests. Set up and clean up before/after surgery. Unload inventory. Assist in taking digital x-rays. Work closely in support of our Veterinary Technicians and Doctors. Qualifications and Skills At least one year of experience in the animal care industry. High School or equivalent education. Excellent customer communication skills. Excellent animal-handling skills. Ability to properly restrain patients. Motivated and passionate about helping animals. Ability to complete assigned tasks in the allotted time without direct supervision. Demonstrated ability to show empathy toward clients and treat animals with respect and compassion. Excellent interpersonal communication skills. A commitment to outstanding client service. Ability to lift objects weighing 40 pounds without assistance and objects weighing more than 40 pounds with assistance. Experience using multiple-line telephone systems.
