Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel MRI Technologist with at least 1 year of experience, proficiency in advanced MRI imaging techniques, and current ARRT certification for a night shift position.

Details

• Inpatient hospital MRI department setting
• Adult and geriatric patient population
• 4x10-hour night shifts, 9:30 PM – 7:00 AM, Monday through Thursday
• Every other weekend required
• On-call required
• Floating within the facility and scope of practice as needed
• Systems used include Epic, Pyxis, GE, PACS, Philips, Siemens, and Toshiba

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of MRI Technologist experience
• Current BLS and ARRT certification required
• Proficiency in Diffusion imaging (non-brain), Gradient Echo imaging, Image Post-Processing (ADC mapping, subtraction), Multiplanar Reconstruction (MPR), and Perfusion imaging
• Active professional licensure required if applicable
• Two supervisory references (Manager level or above; charge nurse not accepted) are highly preferred

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates are accepted
• Pewter gray scrubs required
• RTO is capped at 7 days and cannot be requested during the first week of assignment
• Holiday coverage is expected: if one or two major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work all of them with no holiday RTO permitted; if three major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler must be available for two, with one holiday RTO request eligible for review
• Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
• Travelers must have been away from this health system for a minimum of one full year before returning as a traveler
• No alternate shifts or schedule change requests are permitted — the posted shift is firm
• Travel pairs will not be assigned to the same shift on the same unit
• Full compliance with onboarding requirements is necessary to start on time
