Construction Scheduler

A Construction Scheduler develops and maintains project timelines, coordinating labor, materials, and equipment to ensure timely and within-budget completion. Key duties include creating schedules using software like Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project, monitoring progress, identifying potential delays using methods like the Critical Path Method (CPM), and communicating updates to stakeholders. Essential skills are strong organizational and communication skills, software proficiency, and an understanding of construction processes. Responsibilities Schedule Development & Maintenance: Create and update detailed project schedules using specialized software, defining task durations, sequencing, and dependencies. Progress Monitoring: Track construction progress against the established schedule, using field data and reports to identify any deviations or potential delays. Resource Management: Coordinate the allocation of labor, materials, and equipment to ensure they are available when needed and prevent bottlenecks. Proactively identify risks and potential issues, such as resource shortages or late deliveries, and work with the project team to develop mitigation strategies. Communication & Reporting: Regularly communicate schedule updates and potential issues to the project team, management, and other stakeholders. Change Order Management: Evaluate the impact of any changes to the project scope and update the schedule accordingly. Requirements Proven record of success on large and/or complex projects Proficient with relevant construction technology; P6 experience a must!!
