Category Management LeadKey ResponsibilitiesPosition Overview:JLL is currently seeking a dynamic individual for the role of Category Management Lead to develop and manage facilities goods supplier relationships for our JLL Marketplace business. Suppliers consist of large B2B products distributors and manufacturers that service the facilities management space. Categories of spend include a range of soft and hard goods i.e office supplies, workplace experience services, MRO, construction.Primary areas of focus will be supplier relationship management, program development and enablement, and strategic growth within your category area of oversight.

Developing and maintaining category and supplier strategies, leveraging JLL scale, building new supplier relationships, preparation and management of supplier contracts, identifying and bringing forward market innovations, supporting client solutioning and providing overall value to supplier partners in support of the business will be this position’s mission.This position will require working with various business partners across JLL as well as our supplier partners, and the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to prioritize and bring the requisite impact and value for our clients and JLL. Position is virtual/home office; but Austin, Atlanta, or Charlotte area is highly preferred.RESPONSIBILITIESDuties and ResponsibilitiesContribution to delivery of financial targets in line with business expectations. Position continuously drives assigned seller category strategies and self-sufficiently identifies and executes these projects.Use market and industry intelligence to identify and qualify new suppliers and use data to support the business and delivery of services. In addition, identify risk, threats and provide solutions for mitigation.Contribute to Seller Council with the intent of bringing seller best practices, feedback, and innovations into the organization and out to clientsAccountable for creating strategic solutions for specific commodities, RFP/quotation management, bid analysis and recommendationsLiaison with internal business partners or contract approvals, savings reporting, documentation and complianceDevelops clear strategic supply partner framework and maintains this framework at senior supplier levelPrepare high-quality papers and presentations for use with internal and external business partners and/or teams as requiredAbility to negotiate and have proven strategies within areas of responsible spendPartner with functional leads and business partners to drive both immediate and sustained benefits to our clients and JLLBring strategic thought leadership to identify additional cost and operational efficienciesSubject matter expert for Supplier Management and main point of contact within businessAssist teams with driving operational/sourcing process improvements; including SKU rationalization and standardizationProvide pricing support to new business pursuits and other JLL teams; such as group buys and consulting engagementsManage product cross referencing and spend analytics tasks with supplier partnersLeads contract administration for the Supplier Management teamComply with all JLL policies and procedures, including but not limited to ethics and business practicesQUALIFICATIONSBachelor Degree from an accredited institution in business or engineering - supply chain, purchasing, industrial sales or operations background strongly preferred.Must have a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience, or combination of relevant work experience and educationKnowledge of emerging procurement technologies and marketplaces is a plusExperience maintaining and executing on compliance programsTechnical buying or engineering experience directly involving the facilities management industry is a plusStrong contracting, negotiation, and account management skills is a mustOutstanding interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to successfully communicate with clients’ and suppliers’ representatives, internal business customers and team membersStrong organizational and time management skillsAble to adapt and prioritize meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environmentFlexibility with work hours and travel as neededOperates with a sense of urgency, quickly responding to stakeholdersProfessional yet personable demeanorDetail oriented with strong analytical skillsAble to maintain confidentiality, utilize judgment, and work with minimal supervisionDemonstrated proficiency with all applicable software packages including but not limited to MS Windows; MS Office, including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, AI based platformsThis position does not provide visa sponsorship.
