Job Overview The Merchandising Associate, also known as a Vendor Paid Merchandiser, drives sales and execution of strategic merchandising initiatives within the store. By suggesting vendor products and maintaining high merchandising standards, you create a memorable shopping experience for customers, while providing feedback on what works and what does not. Merchandise new vendor deliveries and follow brand‑specific execution guides and standards. Communicate customer needs and shopping patterns regularly to store leadership and vendors. Work with store teams to drive best practices for sales and execution. Ensure the sales floor is properly signed for sales and markdowns. Follow the store’s audit policies and procedures. Foster an environment of acceptance and respect that strengthens relationships with colleagues, customers and communities. Skills You Will Need Good understanding of customer needs and ability to communicate product knowledge, trends, and style inspiration. Comfortable communicating virtually, by phone, and in person. Adaptability – able to respond quickly to changing priorities while staying organized. Teamwork – ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Excellent interpersonal skills, working effectively with colleagues at all levels. Collaboration – partnering with the total team to drive sales and deliver the customer experience. High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum one year of previous retail experience. Physical Requirements You Will Perform Lifting, constant moving, standing, and reaching with arms and hands. Standing for at least two consecutive hours, lifting at least 30 lbs., stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders. Reaching, including above eye level, crouching, kneeling, stooping, and color vision. Frequent use of computers and other technology, including handheld equipment, cash registers, and processing register transactions.
