Job Description Job Description Overview CAS is looking for a Skilled Laborer specializing in Finish Work,. This position offers the opportunity to work on diverse residential and commercial renovation, restoration, and remodeling projects. As a key contributor, you'll utilize your craftsmanship and technical skills to ensure every detail meets high standards of quality and precision. Basic Requirements Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to work Must be at least 18 years old Must have prior experience Must have tools Must be punctual Duties Perform detailed finish carpentry including trim installation, fixture mounting, and custom moldings to enhance interior aesthetics Execute precise plastering, stucco work, and drywall finishing to create smooth, flawless surfaces ready for painting or coating Apply various painting techniques such as residential, commercial, industrial painting, and airless paint spraying to achieve durable and attractive finishes Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently for tasks such as caulking and sanding Read blueprints and schematics accurately to ensure proper installation of fixtures and adherence to design specifications Conduct renovation and restoration work on existing structures by repairing surfaces and updating finishes with attention to detail Assist with masonry and concrete finishing tasks as needed to support structural integrity and surface quality Requirements Proven experience in construction site work with a focus on finish carpentry, painting, or related trades Strong knowledge of hand tools, power tools, scaffolding safety procedures, and construction safety standards Ability to read blueprints and schematics confidently for accurate project execution Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and material estimations during project planning Experience with drywall installation, plastering, caulking, fixture installation, trim carpentry, stucco application or masonry Knowledge of industrial painting techniques including airless spray systems is a plus Excellent problem-solving skills combined with handyman experience for troubleshooting on-site issues Physical stamina to perform demanding tasks such as lifting heavy materials and working at heights or confined spaces This is a contract position with full-time hours. There are multiple upcoming jobs in the Tampa and surrounding areas, so light travel will be required. CAS is a company created from individuals working under a General Contractor that specializes in permitting, pre-construction planning, and project management. While still working with the GC, the company was established to also offer services to others. CAS also has a small in-house team to perform work as a subcontractor under the GC. CAS is looking to add a skilled tradesman with focus on finish work to that team.
