Communications Manager

The Communications Manager is primarily responsible for developing and implementing plans which advance and reinforce the organization’s media efforts, improve brand visibility and reputation, support thought leadership initiatives, and drive key messaging. The individual in this role will plan, develop, and execute Communications strategies, with an emphasis on media relations/outreach and social media, which reflect the organization’s overall strategic plan and position the organization as the ‘go-to’ source for Alzheimer’s research. This position manages the communications and media processes – including, but not limited to, planning and strategy, stakeholder engagement, and implementation. The job requires proven communications/media skills, as well as diplomacy, collaboration, and creative leadership in liaising with internal and external constituents. Placement: This position reports to the Director of Public Relations. This is a full-time, exempt hybrid position based in the tri-state area. Individuals will be asked to be in person at the Midtown Manhattan office 2-3 times a week. L4 – Salary range: $90-100k.
