This position offers the opportunity to deliver exceptional patient care in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, providing flexibility to work across multiple locations and making a meaningful difference in patients' health journeys.ResponsibilitiesDraw and collect blood specimens from patients of all ages, including pediatric and geriatric populations, following established safety and quality protocols.Verify patient demographics and ensure proper labeling of specimens, including obtaining patient signatures post-venipuncture.Prepare specimens for lab testing in accordance with standard procedures.Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, creating an atmosphere of trust and confidence.Maintain accurate records and documentation related to specimen collection and patient information.Perform duties with confidence and professionalism, ensuring a safe environment at all collection sites.Travel between multiple sites as needed, covering on short notice and working flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.Adhere to all policies and procedures, including safety protocols, dress code, and confidentiality standards.Required SkillsAbility to perform high-quality, error-free venipuncture and capillary collections.Strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate clearly with patients, coworkers, and supervisors.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure accurate specimen labeling and documentation.Reliable transportation with a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a high-volume setting.Additional Skills & Requirements1-3 years of phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric and geriatric collections.Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.High school diploma or equivalent required; medical assistant or paramedic training is a plus.Flexibility to work varied schedules, including weekends, holidays, and overtime based on staffing needs.Experience working in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.Ability to submit mileage for expense reimbursement and reliable transportation required for travel between multiple sites.Patients will benefit from your friendly, professional approach, and your commitment to accurate and efficient specimen collection.
