Materials Handler II (2nd Shift)

Position Description Title: Materials Handler II Reports to: Warehouse Operations Manager Department: Inventory Location: Shakopee, MN Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 2nd shift, 8–10 hours per day. Shift starts at 4:30 PM and ends approximately 11:30 PM – 1:30 AM. Occasional overtime may be required. Position Overview This role is in the Distribution area and is responsible for ensuring inventory accuracy for Shipping & Distribution across North America. The position conducts daily cycle counts, supports inventory improvement programs, and presents metrics to the team. Key Responsibilities Provide work direction for team members related to inventory accuracy. Support inventory improvement programs and audit for inventory accuracy. Present daily metrics in the tier meeting. Communicate daily via email (pass down, rush emails, IT tickets, etc.). Assist Warehouse Layout Planning. Participate in special projects, including annual inventory audit planning and execution. Competencies Read, write, and speak English. Knowledge of inventory management best practices. Qualifications Education: High School Diploma/GED (required); Technical or bachelor’s degree (preferred). Experience: Inventory management, shipping/warehouse/distribution, and WMS experience. Proficiency with MS Office Excel. Experience with automated picking technology (scan‑based). Physical Demands Ability to stand or sit for long periods and lift 25 lbs independently and 50+ lbs with a team lift. Compensation and Benefits The target hourly rate is $18.50 – $20.75, with potential discretionary bonuses. Benefits include health insurance, 401(k) plan, paid time off, and paid holidays.
