SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE Patients consistently report satisfaction, trust, and a sense of being genuinely heard and cared for during every office visit and follow-up interaction with the Physician Assistant. Clinical charting and EMR documentation are thorough, accurate, and compliant, completed in a timely manner that keeps the care team informed and supports seamless continuity of care for every patient. Surgical assistance is provided with the technical competence, preparation, and composure required to support the attending podiatrist effectively and contribute to safe, smooth, and efficient surgical outcomes. Treatment plans developed and communicated in collaboration with the supervising physician are evidence-based, personalized, and result in measurable improvement or resolution of patient conditions over time. Clinic flow remains efficient and collaborative, with patients seen on time, documentation current, and the care team well-informed and well-supported throughout every patient encounter. OBJECTIVES Conduct patient evaluations in office, including history intake, physical examination, and review of diagnostic imaging, gathering thorough and accurate clinical information that supports the attending podiatrist in diagnosis and treatment planning. Assist the attending podiatrist in surgical procedures, preparing appropriately, performing assigned intraoperative responsibilities with precision and professionalism, and supporting a safe and efficient surgical environment throughout every case. Maintain thorough, accurate, and compliant EMR documentation for every patient encounter, surgical case, treatment decision, and follow-up, ensuring that all records are completed in a timely manner and meet the documentation standards required by the practice and applicable regulations. Support the management of acute and chronic foot and ankle conditions in collaboration with the supervising podiatrist, contributing to individualized care plans that incorporate conservative, pharmacologic, orthotic, or surgical approaches based on patient need and clinical evidence. Provide patient education during every office visit, explaining diagnoses, treatment plans, expected outcomes, recovery timelines, and self-care strategies in a clear and compassionate manner that helps patients understand and actively participate in their care. Perform in-office clinical tasks as directed by the supervising podiatrist, including wound care assessments, dressing changes, and other support activities that contribute to the continuity and quality of patient care across all visits. Collaborate closely with medical assistants, administrative staff, and the attending physician to ensure a seamless and efficient patient experience from check-in through discharge, maintaining clear and timely communication across the care team at all times. Support diabetic foot care and wound care management by monitoring patient progress, documenting clinical findings accurately, and communicating any changes in patient condition or healing status to the attending podiatrist promptly. Manage patient follow-up communication by addressing post-visit questions, relaying clinical guidance from the supervising physician, and ensuring that patients feel supported and well-informed between appointments. Maintain a working knowledge of podiatric medicine best practices, surgical protocols, and relevant clinical guidelines, staying current through continuing education and applying updated knowledge directly to patient care responsibilities within the scope of the PA role. Uphold the highest standards of clinical ethics, patient privacy, and regulatory compliance in all aspects of documentation, communication, and care delivery, ensuring that every interaction and record reflects Clover Podiatry's commitment to integrity and excellence.
