Power BI Developer

Power Platform DeveloperA Power Platform Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and deploying solutions within the Microsoft Power Platform to address complex business challenges. This position involves creating hybrid machine learning and rule-based applications, automations, and data visualizations to streamline processes, improve accuracy, and enhance operational efficiency. The role requires collaboration with stakeholders from discovery through implementation, with a focus on building scalable, maintainable, and innovative digital solutions.ResponsibilitiesDesign, build, configure, test, deploy, and maintain Power Platform solutions, including Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Virtual Agents, and Power BI.Develop reusable components, scripts, and frameworks to digitize manual administrative processes.Collaborate with Business Analysts and stakeholders to identify opportunities by analyzing business problems, processes, and data sets.Document technical designs, release notes, and project documentation to support development, security, and operational needs.Create visually compelling Power BI reports and dashboards using DAX, M, and multiple data sources to enhance data insights and decision-making.Work cross-functionally during product development and quality assurance to ensure solutions meet design specifications and solve business problems.Deploy solutions successfully and troubleshoot issues promptly to support ongoing operations and enhancements.Establish standards and best practices for Power Platform governance, operating models, and solution development.Collect, interpret, and analyze data, reporting findings to relevant stakeholders to inform strategic and operational decisions.Stay updated on emerging technologies, participate in community groups, and mentor team members to foster continuous improvement.Create Virtual Agents for automating routine tasks, providing support, and scaling solutions across the organization.Perform additional duties as assigned to meet organizational goals and project timelines.QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or related fields; relevant experience and certifications considered in lieu of degree.Minimum of four years of professional experience in software development, with hands-on experience in Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Virtual Agents, Dataverse, Power BI).Programming or automation experience in R, Python, Java, .NET, C#, Visual Basic, or similar languages, especially within automation and integration projects.Familiarity with data visualization tools, particularly Microsoft Power BI, or similar applications.Proficiency in designing and implementing solutions involving APIs, command line interfaces, client-server architecture, and networks.Knowledge of machine learning, artificial intelligence concepts, and low-code/no-code platforms is a plus.Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills; ability to interpret structured and unstructured data effectively.Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying technical concepts to non-technical audiences.Self-motivated with a proactive approach to identifying opportunities and implementing improvements.Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and meet deadlines with a strong attention to detail.Valid driver's license is required.
