Location: Clinton Township, MI (48035) Pay Rate: Competitive & Negotiable — based on experience Job Type: Permanent Part-time/PRN/As-Needed – 1-3 days a week Benefits Comprehensive health benefits package (for employees working 30+ hours) In‑house training Opportunities for career advancement and professional development A supportive and inclusive work environment guided by our core values Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to administer anesthesia, monitor patients’ vital signs, and oversee patient recovery. The nurse anesthetist may assist surgeons, other physicians, or providers. Responsibilities Instruct nurses, residents, interns, students or other staff on topics such as anesthetic techniques, pain management, and emergency responses. Manage patients’ airway or pulmonary status using techniques such as endotracheal intubation and extubation, mechanical ventilation, pharmacological support, and respiratory therapy. Select, prepare, or use equipment, monitors, supplies, or drugs for the administration of anesthetics. Order and administer anesthetics, adjuvant drugs, accessory drugs, fluids, or blood products. Perform pre‑anesthetic screenings, including physical evaluations and patient interviews, and document results. Monitor patients’ responses, including skin color, pupil dilation, pulse, heart rate, blood pressure, respiration, ventilation, or urine output using invasive and non‑invasive techniques. Respond to emergency situations by airway management, administering emergency fluids or drugs, or providing basic or advanced cardiopulmonary resuscitation techniques. Develop anesthesia care plans.Obtain informed consent from patients for anesthesia procedures. Assess patients’ medical histories to predict anesthesia response. Perform and evaluate diagnostic tests such as radiographs and electrocardiograms. Perform or manage regional anesthetic techniques such as local, spinal, epidural, caudal, nerve blocks, and intravenous blocks. Evaluate post‑surgical or post‑anesthesia responses, taking corrective actions or consulting when complications occur. Administer post‑anesthesia medications or fluids to support cardiovascular systems. Discharge patients from post‑anesthesia care. Read literature, engage with colleagues, and participate in professional organizations or conferences to stay current. Required Skills and Abilities General knowledge of medical terminology. Advanced understanding of anesthesia and critical nursing skills. Demonstrated patient care skills. Education and Experience Master’s degree in nursing with a specific emphasis in anesthesia. At least five years of related experience. Physical Requirements Full range of motion including standing, bending, and moving equipment. Prolonged periods of standing, bending, and reaching. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Ability to lift and carry equipment or supplies up to 25 pounds. Ability to work under occasional stress and adapt to fluctuating schedules. Some exposure to communicable diseases, bodily fluids, and clinical environments. Workplace Environment Clinical office environment with varying noise levels. Exposure to diagnostic equipment, potentially hazardous materials, and patient care settings.
