Associate Marketing Communications Specialist

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Associate Marketing Communications Specialist to support the execution of our communications, content, and marketing initiatives in a fast-paced B2B technology environment. This role is ideal for an entry-level marketing professional who wants to develop strong foundations across content, campaigns, and marketing activities. You will work closely with the Marketing Manager to deliver high-quality assets, ensure consistency across channels, and support the day-to-day execution of marketing activities. You will act as a key operational contributor, helping transform strategy into execution across content, customers, campaigns, and internal communications. What You’ll Do Assist in the creation of marketing content (videos, blog posts, newsletters, case studies) Support the adaptation of technical content into clear, engaging messaging for target audience Coordinate with internal stakeholders (product, sales, SMEs) to gather inputs and validate content Help maintain consistency in messaging, tone and brand voice with MarCom guidelines Support the execution of marketing campaigns, product launches, and announcements Coordinate campaign assets production across communication channels Track deliverables and timelines to ensure on-time execution Assist in updating or replacing outdated materials Help manage and schedule social media content (primarily LinkedIn) Coordinate with designers for asset production Maintain and organize marketing assets (presentations, PDFs, visuals, videos) Ensure proper version control, naming conventions, and repository updates Support content calendar management and execution trackingProvide operational support for ad hoc marketing projects and initiatives Collaborate with product marketing, sales, and other teams to support ongoing marketing needs Monitor engagement and support basic performance tracking Contribute to improving workflows, tools, and processes over time Remain abreast of emerging industry trends, news, and new technologies pertaining to space Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field 1–3 years of experience in marketing, communications, or content-related roles (internships included) is a plus First experience in B2B or technology environment is a plus Strong writing and editing skills (clear, structured, audience-oriented) Comfortable working with marketing tools (CRM, Wrike, Canva, Adobe, HubSpot, or similar tools) Basic understanding of marketing campaigns and digital channels Highly organized with strong attention to detail Strong execution mindset: reliable, responsive, and delivery-oriented Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously Good communication and collaboration skills Curious, eager to learn, and proactive Basic understanding of branding and messaging principles Comfortable working with tools (CRM, Wrike, Canva, Adobe etc) Interest in complex B2B technology and ability to learn and assimilate technical concepts Location Minneapolis, MN (Eden Prairie) Candidates should be available for on-site or hybrid work arrangements Compensation: 50,000 USD - 55,000 USD As a full-time, exempt employee you’ll enjoy a comprehensive benefits package that includes: Health, dental, and vision coverage as of hire Immediate enrollment in 401(k), HSA, and FSA plans Flexible PTO policy Tuition and personal enrichment reimbursement Option to enroll in ID Theft Protection Program At Fortra, our compensation philosophy prioritizes fair market value and internal equity, aligning with your experience and specialized skill set.
