Production Lead - 3rd Shift

Location: Wheeling, IL
Schedule: Monday through Saturday (rotating Saturdays)
Shift Hours: 10:00 PM - 6:20 AM

As a Production Lead, you'll play a key role in coordinating production activities, training team members, solving problems, and helping drive continuous improvement throughout the facility.

What You'll Do

• Lead and support daily production operations to ensure schedules and goals are achieved.

• Coordinate, train, and mentor production team members.

• Monitor productivity, quality, and safety standards.

• Identify process improvements and help implement solutions.

• Assist employees with troubleshooting production issues.

• Track employee attendance and performance.

• Maintain accurate production records and documentation.

• Ensure compliance with company policies, manufacturing procedures, and safety regulations.

• Monitor inventory levels and stock rotation.

• Report equipment concerns and work with maintenance teams to minimize downtime.

• Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment.

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

• Basic understanding of ISO 13485 procedures is a plus.

• Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.

Leadership Responsibilities

• Set and communicate daily, weekly, and monthly production goals.

• Provide coaching, feedback, and support to team members.

• Promote a culture of safety, quality, and accountability.

• Ensure employees are properly trained and understand job expectations.

• Communicate effectively with both management and production staff.

• Help resolve production challenges and support team success.

QualificationsRequired

• High School Diploma or GED

• No prior leadership experience required

Preferred

• Previous Lead or Team Lead experience in a manufacturing environment

Physical Requirements

This position requires:

• Standing and walking for extended periods

• Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, and crouching

• Use of hands to operate equipment and tools

• Regular communication with team members

• Ability to work safely around manufacturing equipment and hand tools

Pay Details: $21.50 per hour
