Part-Time Receptionist

The Receptionist will assist on a part-time basis in the Enrollment Center, supporting overall Enrollment Center Operations, warmly greeting all visitors, directing traffic, providing light data entry, and providing outstanding and unwavering customer service to all students and visitors.

Qualifications requirements include willingness to work 19.5 hours per week with an approximate schedule of Monday - Thursday from 9 am - 1 pm and Fridays from 8 am to 11 am. Experience in customer service, higher education, or student services, and data entry is strongly preferred but not required.

Essential duties and responsibilities include maintaining knowledge of diversity-related issues, legislation, and best practices; greeting all visitors and providing outstanding customer service; directing foot traffic and guiding students to the appropriate Enrollment Center service areas; assisting students with digital check-in; maintaining a clean, organized, and professional front desk space; monitoring waiting areas to ensure students are seated, informed, and assisted in order of arrival; maintaining knowledge of the campus and services and directing traffic to the correct buildings and offices throughout campus; maintaining confidentiality of student information and following all FERPA guidelines; monitoring several daily reports and performing light data entry; and performing other clerical or support duties as assigned.

Physical demands include regularly using hand to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reaching with hands and arms; talking or hearing; standing, walking, sitting, tasting, and smelling; and occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.

The work environment is usually moderate in noise level, and the employee is occasionally required to perform job responsibilities outdoors and off site.
