Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Full-Time | Onsite | Monday–Friday, 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM | On-call required 1–2 times per week and every 3rd weekend (Friday–Sunday)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide routine and complex perioperative nursing care utilizing the full nursing process — assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation — for assigned OR patients across a diverse range of surgical specialties including orthopedics, podiatry, hand, spine/cranial, general surgery, and urology.
• Administer medications and treatments per appropriate protocols; monitor for side effects and effectiveness of prescribed treatments.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications administered, and care provided accurately and in a timely manner.
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families in accordance with scope of practice.
• Assess patient and family learning needs; provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers and identify appropriate resources.
• Make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers as needed to effectively manage the clinical situation; may be asked to float between two local campuses within the OR setting only.

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of employment or a valid compact RN license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Minimum of 1 year of Operating Room / surgical nursing experience.
• Ability to care for a mixed patient population including Adult, Geriatric, and limited Pediatric (orthopedic only) patients.
• Ability to fulfill on-call obligations: 1–2 times per week and every 3rd weekend (Friday–Sunday).

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Experience with robotic-assisted surgery, Mako total joint procedures, or spine/cranial cases (ALIF, DLIF, TLIF, kyphoplasty, craniotomy).
• Familiarity with a broad range of surgical specialties including ENT, gynecology, urology, and general surgery.
