Regional Account Manager, Sales - Central / East

Job Type: Full-Time, Salaried / Exempt - $95,000 - $125,000 
Job Location: Fully Remote 

Individual base salary for this role ultimately will depend on numerous factors, including but not limited to experience, job-related skills, relevant education or training, certifications, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate could fall anywhere within the stated range. Kodiak is currently seeking a Regional Account Manager for the Central-East Coast Region.  This role will be responsible for building retail partnerships and account plans that expand Kodiak's distribution, strengthen our shelf presence, and deliver profitable growth across West Coast grocery accounts. You will own retailer relationships, bring new products and promotional ideas to buyers, manage trade investment and forecasts, and work with broker partners and internal teams to turn plans into strong in-market execution. 

What will you do? 

• Grow distribution and strengthen assortment across assigned grocery retailers by building account strategies, earning buyer support, and selling in new product innovation. 
• Deliver annual sales, revenue, and trade-spend commitments through clear account plans, strategic promotional calendars, disciplined budget management, and timely course correction. 
• Improve monthly case-volume and revenue forecasts by combining retailer input, historical performance, promotional plans, and current business trends. 
• Turn retailer, shopper, sales, and competitive insights into focused actions that improve account performance and unlock incremental growth. 
• Strengthen execution by aligning broker partners and cross-functional teams on priorities, owners, timing, and retailer support plans. 
• Keep the account running smoothly through accurate new-item setup, responsive billing follow-up, and clear sales reporting for leadership. 

You will bring the following capabilities to the role: 

• Retailer leadership: Build trusted relationships with buyers and category managers, independently lead account conversations, and navigate opportunities or challenges with sound judgment. 
• Strategic selling and influence: Translate brand strategy, innovation, and consumer insights into persuasive, retailer-specific stories and recommendations. 
• Commercial and financial acumen: Connect volume, revenue, pricing, promotions, and trade investment to account decisions and business results. 
• Analytical fluency: Use syndicated and retailer data, Excel, and competitive information to spot patterns, size opportunities, and recommend action. 
• Cross-functional execution: Partner effectively with brokers and internal stakeholders, including Marketing, Shopper Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, and Sales Operations. 
• Ownership and adaptability: Organize competing priorities, follow through on details, communicate clearly, and keep momentum in a fast-moving environment. 

Your experience should clearly demonstrate: 

• A track record of building retailer relationships and influencing buyers or category managers. 
• Experience managing account plans, sales forecasts, promotional activity, and trade budgets with measurable business accountability. 
• Working proficiency with Excel and presentation tools, plus experience using syndicated or retailer data to guide decisions. 
• Ability to travel up to 30% and operate effectively in a fully remote environment.
