Reach Truck Operator

Our client, a leading food distribution company, is seeking an experienced Reach Truck Operator for their Plant City, FL facility. This is a full-time contract opportunity requiring hands-on experience operating high reach trucks in a fast-paced warehouse and cold storage environment. Contract Duration: Approximately 20 weeks (800 total hours) Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM until shift completion (typically 3-4 PM); overtime required as needed (typically 5-10 hours) Location: Plant City, FL 33566 Travel: None required

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate Raymond Reach and Crown RC high reach trucks to move, stack, and retrieve product
• Maintain accurate inventory documentation and records
• Ensure production areas remain clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards
• Work efficiently in cold storage environments, including temperatures as low as 0 degrees
• Follow all safety protocols related to equipment operation and cold storage work

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 6 months of verifiable reach truck experience
• Demonstrated ability to operate Raymond Reach and/or Crown RC equipment
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Willingness and ability to work in cold storage environments (down to 0 degrees); freeze suits provided, though candidates may bring their own
• Strong reliability, punctuality, and work ethic
• Must be available for an in-person interview, which will include a hands-on equipment skills assessment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience in food distribution, warehousing, or cold chain logistics
• Familiarity with inventory management systems
