Job Summary & Responsibilities:

The Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) will provide assessment, treatment planning, clinical oversight, and behavioral intervention services to individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), developmental disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, and/or co-occurring mental health diagnoses. The BCBA will develop and monitor individualized, evidence-based treatment plans while ensuring compliance with NC DHHS, Medicaid, BACB, HIPAA, and The Joint Commission standards.

Key responsibilities include:

• Conduct functional behavior assessments (FBA), skill assessments, and other clinically appropriate evaluations.

• Develop, implement, and update individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs).

• Provide direct behavioral intervention as needed and supervise RBTs and other staff implementing treatment plans.

• Provide staff and caregiver training on behavioral strategies, data collection, crisis intervention, and positive behavioral supports.

• Collect, analyze, and interpret clinical data to evaluate treatment progress and make data-driven adjustments.

• Conduct chart audits and maintain accurate, timely, and audit-ready documentation.

• Participate in quality improvement, incident reporting, risk management, and root cause analysis activities.

• Collaborate with families, caregivers, educators, healthcare professionals, and interdisciplinary treatment teams.

• Participate in IEP meetings and other treatment team conferences.

• Develop and participate in crisis intervention and de-escalation protocols.

• Ensure all services promote client safety, dignity, independence, and rights.

• Maintain compliance with applicable NC DHHS service definitions, Medicaid regulations, BACB requirements, and The Joint Commission standards.

• Work primarily in home and community-based settings in the Charlotte and Fayetteville, NC areas.

• Expected billable hours: approximately 20-40 hours per week.

• Schedule varies based on client and program needs, with occasional evening or weekend work.

Education, Licensure, and Experience:

• Master's degree or higher in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, or a related field.

• Current BCBA certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB), in good standing.

• North Carolina Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) credential required, as applicable under state law.

• Minimum 2 years of post-certification ABA experience preferred for experienced-level candidates; new graduates are welcome to apply.

• Experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder, developmental disabilities, and/or neurodevelopmental disorders.

• Experience with behavioral assessments, treatment plan development, clinical data analysis, and staff supervision.

• Familiarity with NC DHHS regulations, Medicaid service definitions, and The Joint Commission standards.

• Strong analytical, observational, problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.

• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems.

• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary and community-based environment.
