LPN-Licensed Practical Nurse-$2500 Sign on Bonus-Ware Co. SO Full Time Ware Co, Waycross, GA, US Salary Range: $24.00 To $26.00 Hourly Job Type: Full-Time Requisition ID: 1043 (11 days ago) Responsibilities Provide patient treatments such as blood pressure checks, glucose monitoring, weight checks, nebulizer treatments, etc. as ordered by a licensed medical provider. Ensure all referrals for consultation, treatment or resolution of problems are valid and applicable to the documented nursing plans. Administer ordered medications to inmates as ordered by a licensed medical provider and approved by the medical director and document administration as required by GENESYS Health policy/procedure. Carry out nursing care plans on inmates as prescribed or directed by ALP, Physician, and/or RN. Ensure security of area and medications while administration is occurring; keeping safety a top priority. Complete initial and ongoing screening on detained individuals upon admission into a correctional setting. Explain procedures and treatment protocols to patients. Shift Availability 7A-7P – Day Shift 3P-11P – Mid Shift 7P-7A – Night Shift PRN Availability Education & Certifications Requires graduation from a nationally accredited licensed practical nursing program. Current LPN licensure in the state of employment or ability to obtain license. Current Basic Life Support. Correctional nursing experience preferred but not required. Ability to obtain a security clearance, including drug screen and criminal background check. Physical setting: Corrections (Jail / Prison / Detention Center).
