Job Description
Shift: D/E/N Rotating - 8x5 - 07,19

Description:

The Licensed Vocational Nurse at client performs advanced vocational nursing work.
Provides for the care, treatment, and general welfare of individuals at client who have intellectual disabilities, complex medical, mental health, and/or behavioral health issues under the guidance of the Facility's Medical Director.

Responsibilities:

Provide nursing services for individuals - Administers medications, immunizations, and treatments and observes individuals for unusual symptoms and reactions.
Monitors individuals' weight, diet, feedings, and vital signs. Monitors for signs and symptoms of illness and uses appropriate nursing judgement to provide adequate care for the individual, including initiating acute care plans.
Completes computer data entry, other documents, and file, in a timely manner, any reports, records, or other documentation required by client in providing nursing services, and in the format specified by policy.
Comply with facility Standard Operating Procedures to meet standards for accrediting agencies; specifically, Joint Commission Guidelines, client Policy and Directives and client Standards, Rules and Directives.

Requirements:

Must currently be licensed and registered to practice nursing by the client Nursing Board or a state that recognizes reciprocity through the Nurse Licensure Compact.
Must have at least 2 years of experience.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must not be excluded from providing services to individuals on Medicare and Medicaid.
Must submit to and pass drug screening and criminal history checks, including fingerprint checks, and registry clearance checks.
Must comply with client immunization requirements.
Must complete facility and client required training including facility CPR.
Must Comply with all other job requirements specified by the Facility.
