Jamaica Hospital Medical Center is seeking experienced RNs for our Mother-Baby/Postpartum Unit. In addition to Mother-Baby and L&D nurses, we welcome experienced Medical-Surgical RNs interested in transitioning into maternal-newborn nursing.
What You'll Do
- Provide postpartum care for mothers and newborns
- Assess maternal recovery and newborn health and identify changes requiring intervention
- Support breastfeeding, bonding, and newborn care
- Educate new parents on feeding, recovery, newborn care, and discharge needs
- Administer medications, vaccinations, and routine newborn testing as ordered
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team and document care in EPIC
Requirements
What You'll Need Graduate of an accredited BSN Nursing Program Current New York State RN license Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience in Medical-Surgical, Mother-Baby/Postpartum, or Labor & Delivery Current BLS and NRP certification Strong clinical assessment, communication, and patient-education skills Compensation & Benefits $58.21/hour + differentials + full 1199 Union benefits, including healthcare, retirement benefits, paid time off, and more.
