Make a meaningful impact supporting K-8 students as a Special Education/ESL Teacher in a contract role for the 26/27 school year. Work full-time with a dedicated caseload of approximately 30 learners, implementing individualized programs that truly make a difference. This opportunity focuses on both academic and behavioral growth, with an emphasis on deepening student literacy, working closely with a collaborative school team, and engaging with families and staff to help each child reach their fullest potential.

This position is ideal for educators with a strong background in Special Education and English as a Second Language instruction, especially those who are fluent in Spanish and bring an innovative spirit to the classroom.

Key Qualifications:

• 1–5 years teaching experience, ideally in Special Education or ESL
• Valid LBS1 Teacher Certification as well as an active PEL
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
• Proficient Spanish language skills
• Clear commitment to supporting low-income and diverse student populations
• Strong mastery of curriculum, multiple literacy concepts, and differentiation
• Excellent communicator with initiative and problem-solving capabilities
• Flexible, creative, and passionate about professional growth

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide academic, emotional, and physical services for students per their IEPs
• Deliver engaging literacy and content instruction
• Support and implement behavioral interventions
• Collaborate with colleagues, specialists, and families to advance student goals
• Supervise students with learning and emotional disabilities
• Adapt to evolving student and school needs
